Measure the fringes

Measure the position of as many bright maxima as you can clearly see as the microscope exits the shadow, and the minima between them. Tabulate your data. Since these measurements have an arbitrary origin, the values you have listed are really $x+x_0$, where $x_0$ is an unknown constant.
